Act Of Aggression Map Editor
Map editor who agrees?Quick note:I know the game is just released and there's a lot of work for the team to do. Also i know that there will be a lot of work to set this up.

I still wanted to bring this one up.Why a map editor?A map editor would be awesome for a couple of reasons.the first reason is that it allows the us to be creative creating maps and sharing them would be awesome for that reason. Just think about the possibilities. You could make big cities or arenas to wage war in.It creates more of a community:A map editor would allow for the community to get closer meaning that instead of a lot of individuals we would be more a community.
Also it allows for the community and the developers to get closer. Wouldn't it be great if the community got closer? It adds to the game:Adding a map editor would add greatly to the game as there would now be a big pool of maps to play on. It would add content and improve the game that way. There could be maps that are made for beginners as tutorial like maps and there could be incredibly difficult maps for the expert of this game. After note:As a quick note i would personally love to be able to create maps however there is one problem. As i write this i'm the only one stating this.
This means that the changes are rather small that this idea will come to life. This is where you as the reader come in. If you agree with this idea please reply your thought on this. Without your comment this may NEVER be made.Peace. I think dev work that would be quite worth it, and cause the game to live longer. It is the problem that me and my friends run into with almost all games of this type: once you have seen all maps, it goes back to the shelf to collect dust. The games we kept playing again and again where usually those that had tons of maps available through fan made maps or mappacks. Well and sometimes mods too;)Best example there is the old CoH with the Blitzkrieg mod and the community mappacks.
We still played that when CoH2 came out. And also liked it somewhat better than CoH2. Mods and map editor is what made COMMAND AND CONQUER stuff famous, or a CULT FOLLOWING.
The STEAM WORKSHOP has ton's of downloads from CULT FANS. That is the trend too. These lil young buck programers, don't even know how ID of VALVE developed their core business. Everything.was SPAWNED from DOOM, with MODS.that VALVE made into TEAM FORTRESS and TEAM FORTRESS CLASSIC and THUS TEAM FORTRESS 2. With HALF LIFE.being developed from VALVE making MODS from DOOM. Thus we have STEAM, VALVE and ID.as they are today. All do to MOD's and MAPS.My point, stop ♥♥♥♥en everyone.and make a MAP MAKER, MOD SOFTS.and make EA. Stop ♥♥♥♥en off.not making C&C games. You want to be KING, or be a another failed company, all alone in lil kiddies swing.Really, VALVE should purchase the C&C rights.
Because they only know how to run STEAM anymore and forgot how to make games. โพสต์ดั้งเดิมโดย:I think no one will disagree, not even us devs. But the matter is not of agreeing or not, but to be able to invest a lot of time and dev work into it.What about releaseing the tools you use for people to 'modd it' themselves?A lot of official tools require a number of licences due to all the contribution code that goes into them. Developers and even publishers are often not permitted to distribute them so most mapping and modding tools are usually custom made for the purpose of community use.I don't know if that's the case here but that is usually the case for most games, especially these days as games become more complicated to design and develop for. โพสต์ดั้งเดิมโดย:What about releaseing the tools you use for people to 'modd it' themselves?A lot of official tools require a number of licences due to all the contribution code that goes into them.
