College Hoops 2k8 Legacy
College Hoops 2K Rosters. Dragon adventures titan. Post and Discuss College Hoops 2K Rosters in here! Below you will find a list of discussions in the College Hoops 2K Rosters forums at the Operation Sports Forums. Too bad 2K discontinued the College Hoops series. I'm a huge NCAA Basketball fan and it's so much better and way more exciting than the NBA. College Hoops 2K8 was the last version 2K Sports will be making for college basketball and it's a shame because the series just kept getting better.
A College Hoops 2K8 Legacy
Welcome to my College Hoops 2k8 Legacy! I am (once again) very excited to kick this off & get my future underway. After giving things some thought, I am going to embark on a full legacy thread and detail it, game by game. I have done this before in the Football Dynasty section, but this is my first go at it in a Basketball Dynasty thread. So, all I ask, is you bear with me, and if you like what you see, give it a good thumbs up or a comment, they go a long way.
Who am I starting with & why?
The Dartmouth Big Green will be my first home to begin this legacy! I am using a closed legacy, so I only had the 40 teams to choose from. I felt Dartmouth was a great fit because the Ivy League is very intriguing as a conference, lots of incredible history in both sports and academics. I also like the fact we do not have a conference tournament at the end of the season, thus making every single game count even more.
House Rules? Difficulty? Do I play games?
I will be playing every second of my 14 minute halves on All-American difficulty. I have been running 13 minute halves up to this point, but I feel that my scoring was just a tad too low & I want to see more 65-85 point games rather than 55-75 point games.
History starts NOW
This is a common thing to all the dynasties I run. What I mean by this is that I will not recall what Duke did in 2000 or what happened in the Big West in 2012. I view the starting point in my legacy as the starting point in history. I WILL, however, still consider blue bloods to be blue bloods & recognize conferences that aren't very good. Just because a lower tier conference has a couple teams in the Big Dance doesn't make them a new Power Conference, get the gist?
Realistic to a point
I really enjoy running legacies over time and watching how things pan out. I am going to do my best at keeping things realistic on my end by not creating recruits, messing with player skills, or abusing the world recruiting section. At the end of the day, what happens, happens, and if I get to a point where I am winning Natty's in a row, it will be the results of my hard work and effort. Likewise, if I never get to a Natty or Final Four, it is what it is.
